NoDa is a coined name derived from “North Davidson”, a popular thoroughfare in the neighborhood. The area housed textile mills and manufacturing plants in the early 1900’s and was home to the mill workers who were employed there. NoDa now consists of historic mill houses that have seen a boom in revitalization in recent years. It is an ecletic mix of both old and new.

Plaza Midwood runs connectively to Noda and was developed in the early 1920’s. It was originally a streetcar suburb. Plaza Midwood boasts a mix of large older and newer homes, as well as some bungalow style properties.

The popularity of the Noda/Plaza Midwood area arises from it’s close proximity to Downtown Charlotte, as it is 1 mile North of the center city, and it’s ability to provide a quaint neighborhood feel.
